it's been a really strange week. the hard times show went up this morning... and i have my jazz opening in st. paul on thursday. finished 2 commissions today as well. whew. i have some great ideas for a new project. and i hope to work on a few creative things this weekend as well.
the opening at artifex went really well and i was glad to see some old faces and some new ones! monday was a busy day as well... the nomad and duplex shows came down... and i ran the piece for the visual jazz show out to st. paul. i am really excited for the jazz show... there are over 50 artists participating... and the artist's mercantile is right upstairs from the artist's quarter... where many of the jazz festival events are being held. so far this week i have spent most of my time just trying to calm down from the past few weeks push on shows and get my normal day to day life in order. chaos breeds creativity in me but i think i might've pushed the envelope a little this time :) that being said... this is just the eye of the hurricane. i have a commission to finish this week... and i hang the hardtimes show next tuesday... the jazz opening is next thursday... and i just booked another show for july... that goes up the last week of june... at seoul salon in st. paul.
http://seoulsaloninc.com/ there is truly never a dull moment. never
i almost forgot... the show at the nomad comes down on monday... as well as the show at duplex... so if you've been wanting to check either of those out... the time is now :)
thanks again for all of your well wishes
my very busy month of shows is starting to wind down... and i am excited for the breathing room. i am hanging the artifex show tonight for the opening tomorrow!
first thursday at casket arts was fun... made some new friends and met some virtual friends :) i am looking for acoustic musicians that might be interested in participating in the next first thursday event... let me know if you know anyone...
i am finishing framing for the visual jazz show in st. paul later this month... i believe the opening party is on the 17th. i am excited to see the other artist's works... and spend a little time in st. paul. hope to see you all tomorrow night at the artifex opening!
my show is now up at the cedar! (brushes hands on pants and breathes a deep sigh)
i am really proud of this show... most of the paintings were completed in the last 2 weeks! i am headed there tonight to take in some evelyn evelyn and see my art from the outside in - instead of the inside out :)
