I did photography and video the whole conference... but not so much arty stuff like I usually do. Here are a few I snuck in for my own pleasure.
I have spent the last week up to my neck in trumpets. I have been eating, sleeping and dreaming trumpets. Learning about trumpets, listening to trumpets, eating dinner with trumpet players... and just when that's all done... drinking drinks with trumpet players and listening to them jam at The Dakota. Then I crawl off to bed... barely... sleep 4 hours, wake up and do it all over again. It's been crazy. And awesome. I love music. All of it. I love people that make music. Instruments. Recording. Funny stories from the road. Trumpet jokes. Losing my mind over too much sound... having a headache and then doing it all over again. I really do. I would love it just as much if it were a guitar convention or a drum convention or a clarinet convention. People who are crazy about their music are my favorites. I understand obsession... and this conference is only fun to people who are really obsessed a about trumpets. I fit right in... and I don't. I feel lucky to be a part of it for another year. Like I said last night to a table full of trumpet geeks. I love music nerds. They all smiled really big... keep it up... nerds are cool. I did photography and video the whole conference... but not so much arty stuff like I usually do. Here are a few I snuck in for my own pleasure.

You're so amazing, Jen. That you can make me want to go to a trumpet conference is one thing. That you can make me want to be more of mySelf is another. Thank you for being you, and sharing who you are with the world. "What courage, art."
