my grandmother, is the single most inspirational person i have ever met. she used to talk to the sun, dance and sing for no reason at all... she always had time for me, even though she was the busiest person i have ever met. she would indulge my whims and make-believe... she was diagnosed with alzheimer's going on 10 years ago now... and i have watched her go from confused, to lost, to someone i don't know... it has been a very sad thing to watch... and i know that it is the single hardest thing for me so far in life to watch her mind fade when her body was still strong.
i have been trying to think of a way to use my art to pay her back some way...
i have been printing postcards to advertise for my shows over the last few months... and i am going to start offering them for sale here as well as at shows... i am going to be selling sets of 10 like the one pictured above (2 of each design) for $10. i will send them to you for free and $5 from each sale will be donated to the alzheimer's association... to help people like my grandmother through research and education.
