you don't own me

you don't own me... yet... but i have a lot of shows coming up that offer many opportunities for you to purchase a painting. i have been working on overdrive for the past couple of weeks to wow you at my upcoming exhibitions... i am really excited about the things coming out of my latest work. maybe it's because i have been painting "blind" for a while... and just got my glasses... but everything seems more in focus. hanging my show at Friedman Iverson Monday night... the opening party is Friday and I hope you will all be able to make it!  Here's the facebook invite and the rest of the necessary information:

  Jennifer Sandquist is a Minneapolis based artist working in acrylic painting, collage, photography and watercolor. Focusing on use of bold, simple colors and lines to convey the excitement she feels while painting. Jennifer has been featured in over 30 art openings in the past 5 years, including shows in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania finding inspiration in new places, live music and people with a story.

  Danny Sigelman is a Minneapolis based artist, DJ and musician who works in a variety of mediums including mixed media painting, found art installation, photography and video. For Custom Forms his latest work combines his approach for abstraction with painting and collage and uses elements of traditional Chinese composition and style inspired by his travels to the Mainland.
  

I will also be showing at the Freight House downtown Minneapolis for most of July... I will hang that show on July 7th... the theme is ROADTRIP! What's more summer than that?
